The Trembling Earth

A documentary about food, land, and the future we choose.

Coming November 2026

About the Film

The system that feeds us is failing us.

For decades, ultra-processed foods, chemical agriculture, and industrial supply chains have distanced us from the land—and from our health. Chronic disease is rising. Waterways are polluted. Communities are disconnected from where their food comes from.

The Trembling Earth tells the story of a 1,000-acre regenerative farm bordering nearly half a million acres of protected wilderness. Here, farmers and neighbors are restoring soil through animal integration, rotating crops, and heirloom and heritage breeds—working with nature instead of against it.

This film explores what happens when people slow down, reconnect with the land, and rebuild a food system designed to nourish both people and place.

It All Starts with The Soil

Most people see soil as something beneath their feet. At The Farm at Okefenokee, it’s where everything begins.

This clip explores the regenerative philosophy behind our land — where heritage animals, thoughtful rotation, and natural systems work together to rebuild what modern agriculture has depleted. Every chicken, every pig, every plant plays a role in restoring the soil… and in turn, producing healthier, more nutrient-dense food.

From building inches of rich topsoil over time, to harvesting fresh ingredients for our farm-to-table dinners, this is a behind-the-scenes look at a living system designed to function the way nature intended — balanced, productive, and sustainable.

Because when the soil thrives… everything else follows.

Restoring More Than the Land

At The Farm at Okefenokee, regeneration is about more than restoring the land. It is also about strengthening people, creating community, and sharing the abundance the farm produces.

This video explores The Farm’s partnership with Trinity Rescue Mission, where women gain hands-on agricultural experience, earn income, and reconnect with the source of their food. Together, the organizations are building a model in which healthy soil, nourishing food, safe housing, and meaningful work can help create lasting change—one garden, one harvest, and one life at a time.
